Thanks as usual for a quite generous review. While I'm proud of my
technical chops on this one, I was feeling my way through, with not
enough interesting new talent on the scene by the time of my deadline.
Despite your no-nonsense cavr-style checklist reviews, I feel like you
still somehow get what I'm at least trying to do better than a lot of
other people ... Funny thing on the "video quality" issue though --
what I'm actually doing here (and on some other recent titles) is
putting some filters on the image in post-production to soften it down
and get rid of what I consider the harsh "video look" (actual term for
it is "interlacing"). Though I find it much more attractive, I guess
to a lot of viewers it just comes off as murky?
Sorry about the IDs ... I usually try to do better on that. Actually,
the trailer (that was left off by the DVD authorer) puts everybody's
face and name together .... it's always something :)
Anyway, always value your opinion & keep my eye open for it. Hope all
is well for you!
