Surprises! That is what Den says after reviewing the Fans voting in
the 8th annual CAVR awards.
Best New Starlet:
-----------------
Amee Donavan was the favored. She is tremendously popular and
had an awesome first half of the year. But, her lack of
releases towards the end of the year really hurt her.
Vicky Vette was a real surprise to come out of nowhere to
be the runner-up. She was a late entry, but she proves
that 38 year olds can be sexy too.
Jasmine Lynn was my pick because she had such an outstanding
debut year. She gets down with the best of them and she
has a nice slim and tight all natural body.
Lauren Phoenix was my runner-up. She also had an awesome debut
year and this long tall Canadian is hot! Sure is nice to see
the all natural ladies back in vogue.
But, all things considered, Selena Silver really deserves this
win. She is hot. She is smart. She is everywhere. And, she
even is a very good reviewer!
Star of the Year:
-----------------
Avy Scott just barely won this award. Avy's second season win
follows up her great debut season last year when she won
Rog's Best Newbie Award. Everybody loves Avy. She was my
pick also.
Taylor Rain had another good year and seemed to be all over
the place. Taylor is hot and a real hard charger. Taylor
does have a few distractors in the business.
Felicia Fox had a real good year topped off by winning her
first AVN award. Her and Tim Case have a very popular KSEX
radio show. And, her mouth watering all natural boobs sure
helps her also.
Jewel De'Nyle usually wins this award and had a great year.
Jewel has recently announced her retirement from performing
and will concentrate her time on directing and PXP.
Carmen Luvana won last year's Best Newbie and she seems to have
slipped since becoming a contract star.
Julie Night is an awesome performer that everybody loves, but
seems to not generate the votes for some strange reason.
Mary Carey ran for governor and it helped her popularity
tremendously.
Director of Year:
-----------------
Jules Jordan. Quite frankly it is JJ and then the rest of the
field. JJ is considered to be on top of his game right now
and has won 2 years in a row. He got my vote.
John Stagliano is probably the best director ever (Bruce Seven?)
and had the monster Fashionistas DVD. Buttman forever!
Rodney Moore has always been one of my favorites and has in
fact won in previous years. It was very good to see him do
so well, especially since he releases are so very hard to
find at video stores.
Mason had a very interesting year with her changing companies,
her puppy drama and her 'coming' out. She is a hot one! I
still don't quite get her movies, but she sure does put
her body and soul into them.
Mike Quasar doesn't always get credit for being the director
and sometimes uses other names, but he is a becoming a force
within the industry. And, his behind the scenes are the best
available now days.
Mike John is the goofy nerdy down-to-earth guy that we all love
and his movies seem to end up being trend setters.
DVD of the Year:
----------------
Fashionistas is the DVD of the Year. Period. End of subject.
The rest were fighting for runner-up. Guess you know how I
voted.
