Tristan Taormino is a world famous author turned producer and
director. She has 3 hit books and a 4th one is on the way.
She also has at least 5 best selling DVDs.

7:00 Arrived with XRCO Co-manager Dick Freeman and had the pleasure
of talking to Tristan and some of the Antioch students prior
to the 8:00pm start time. (See, it does pay to arrive early).
Her and Dick Freemen had never met, but she knew his name
immediately and was genuinely happy to talk with him. She
knew of his BNI, Adam Film World and Playboy articles.
Tristan was wearing glasses, had a lowcut top and has auburn
hair. She has a very nice smile and is a very happy person.
She was with her companion.
8:15 Presentation started.
Approximately 100 people were in attendance and we were
the oldest 2 in the building. She gave a very live
presentation with a few typed pages of notes that she
referred to spareling.
She wrote a best selling book about Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex
for Women in 1997 and then tried to 'sell' her script to porn
companies.
She had no luck.
One night in NYC she got a phone call from John Stagliano. She
was elated to receive a call from Buttman and they worked a deal.
She spent a lot of time praising John and thanking him for being
her 'Soulmate'.
She explained that Buttman is the Father of Gonzo and shared with
her their love for butts. She talked about her first movie and
how he mentored her. She had nothing but great thing to say
about John.
Buttman funded the project.
She explained why she starred in her own movie in a feminist anal
gang bang scene.
She wrote 2 more books and wanted to get back to making movies
in 2006. She explained that Gonzo had taken a turn for the
worse and had gotten out of line. Real nasty sex. Rough sex.

She then explained her concept for Chemistry series. Take
porn people and put them together for 36 hours with no
script and no schedule.
She said some people told her that they likes the BTS
better than the sex. Susie Bright said she like the
interviews the best.
She said that she thinks the director should treat Porn
Stars like 'GOLD!'.

Thank you Tristan for a wonderful evening. It was very
interesting to hear her talk and she sure seems to be
right on with her points of view.
I was amazed that there was not one single negative
comment and I was surprised at the very nice turnout.
Tristan is a good person and a good positive influence
to the adult industry.
If you get a chance to see her on tour, I highly
recommend it.

Subject: Thanks for attending my lecture at Antioch!
Hey There!
Thanks so much for signing up for my Double T Newsletter and especially
for coming to my talk at Antioch last week. The crowd was wonderful,
smart, engaged, political.
I loved all the questions I got. I also felt very embraced by all of
you, which is not always the case at every school I speak at.
The morning after my talk, I decided to explore Yellow Springs. I
found some incredible old sexology books at the used bookstore. I
also ran into several students, including Mariel and Beth, who I
want to thank for spearheading the effort to bring me to campus; I
forgot to thank them at the beginning of my talk, and I really
appreciate all their hard work.
I ran into another student who said, "Hey! I watched your porn last
night!" which is something you don't hear everyday from someone on
the street. It seems that she and a bunch of friends had a "screening"
of Chemistry 2 with lots of discussion afterward.
I love when people watch my movies as a group, because you usually
can see the diversity of responses: what different people think is
hot, who responds to a certain performer or scene...it's fascinating.
Like a book club, but for porn! I hope that my presentation, as well
as my books and movies, inspire lots more dialogue and debate.
