I got to the store 30 minutes early and had alot of fun walking around
this adult Superstore. I did notice that they do not carry:
Anabolic Video
Diaboloc Video
AVN magazine.
The gals arrived 5 minutes late and were given a tour of this very
impressive store. The guys got in line for autographs and the
line was pretty thin. (I counted 14 people). The guy behind
asked me if the $10.00 entry fee could be applied to the $15.00
it cost for a picture with the gals. Say what?
Well, it seems that at 6:45 they set up a table and it cost
$10.00 to get in the store and then you could use the entry
coupon for $10.00 off on anything you purchased in the store.
And, the fee for a picture with the gals was now $15.00.
Quite frankly, I got in early and missed this. If I went
to the door and they told me $10.00 to get in, I would
have done the same thing I did at the Jenna Jameson store
signing, I would have walked out!
I still wanted a picture of just the 2 stars and they posed without me.
I had a very nice chat with Joy King, VP of Wicked Pictures.
I was waiting on Dirty Bob to show and I went to the entrance to
the store and yes, they were collecting money to get in. I
will say that 3 out of 4 guys (and groups) left as soon as
they found out about the charge to get in.
I got out my Hustler Hollywood promo post card and it does not
mention any charges to get in to see the gals.
I started talking to others in the store and they were upset with
what was going on. I think that this is the reason they had
such a small turnout. I also think they should have the
ladies go on the local am radio station, WLW and the turnout
would be much greater. Us old guys have nothing else to do
and we do love our Porn Stars. But, we don't listen to the
'rock' FM stations.
Dirty Bob arrived at 8:30 and we both talked to Joy King. Dirty Bob
is AVN Press and he gets in free and he doesn't pay for pictures
with the ladies. I did tell him what was going on so he could
report it properly for his AVN story.
Dirty Bob & I walked through the store I showed him a very
interesting DVD that I had never seen before. It is a Danni
Ashe DVD that she is selling as a part of her mega star
web site, Danni's Hard Drive.
After 2 hours, it was time to go home.

Comments..........In store appearance May 31, 2002. Hustler Monroe.
I covered this event for 2 reasons:
1> Because I wanted to see what was happening
and I like the Wicked gals and I really
like the Wicked management (Joy).
2> I wanted to see what the fans get to see.
Quite frankly, I LOVED the gals and they were
very nice and very fan friendly. And, Joy
was a joy!
But, if I were just a fan, I would not pay
$10.00 to get in and I would not pay
$15.00 for a picture!
Hell, I would not pay $15.00 for a
picture of Bo Derek!
(The only true 10 of all time!).
Wicked Pictures and Hustler are both quality
companies and this is obviously the new
trend for stars doing in-store signings and
I am an old fart stuck in the past, but I
don't like this!
