Why 4 Number One's?
   How do you compare a Tina Russell, who was the hottest star
   in her time in a very limited exposure with a Jenna Jameson,
   who is the hottest star today with lots of exposure?
   You can't!

The Process.
   Richard Freeman helped me make the initial list of the stars.
   We had lunches to discuss this and we emailed many times with
   modifications. 


The criteria. Very similiar to AVN's with these exceptions:
   1> All adult actresses are to be included.
   2> Negatives to be considered.

1970's

Tina Russell is number 1. She was the hottest thing out of NYC. Tina
   did alot of movies with her husband Jason Russell. Tina was the
   author of a best selling book, 'Porno Queen'.
Linda Lovelace is number 2. Prior to Deep Throat, most gals would not
   admit to giving head. After the movie, gals proudly said they
   could do deep throat. For Holloween parties, Nurses were the rage.
   On Phil Donahue TV talk show she openly talked about those 6 super
   hot 8mm loops she made. She wrote a best selling book, 'Ordeal'.
   Linda turned against porn and said she was forced to make movies
   against her will. I don't know what the truth is, but this
   negativity is one of the reasons she finished second to Tina.
Vanessa Del Rio is one of the hottest ladies of all time. How many
   8mm movies did she make? She continues to be a big fan favorite.
   She played herself on the TV Show NYPD Blue. Vanessa seems to
   be getting more and more popular all the time and sure draws
   quite a crowd at the ECVS.
Marilyn Chambers is sweet little blonde who did the forebidden scene
   with a black guy for the mega hit, Behind the Green Door. How
   about her with John Holmes? Remember her super kinky fisting movie?
Others of this decade include Seka, the blonde bombshell with the
   scarf around her neck, Serena and her kinkiness with Jamie
   Gillis, Connie Peterson with her penchant for interracial fun,
   Eileen Wells and her number 1 scene of all-time with Nanci Hoffman
   in Candy Strippers (Don't lose your watch honey). Do any of you
   remember Linda McDowell on the swing doing a DP with Johnny Keyes
   and John Holmes? And for the 'R' fans, how about Uschi Digart? She
   came so close to actually doing it each time that it left you
   hanging on and wanting more!

1980's
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the hardest decade to rank. The tendency is to put Traci as
   Number 1. But, she was not Number 1 before she became illegal.
   Her noteriety happened after she got in trouble. Also, negatives
   comes into play in that she now claims that she did all her movies
   under the influence of drugs. She comes in third on my list.
The next choice is Christy Canyon. Oh yes, Christy with those great
   breasts that would get a twirling in every which way. For the big
   boob lovers, Christy is the Number 1 of all time. Yes, I like her:
                   
   Hard to believe that Christy Canyon is only Number 2.
Ginger Lynn is Number 1!. The cute little blonde next door who did it
   all, interracial, anal, DP, etc. Everybody loves Ginger! I was very
   tempted to make all 3 co-number 1's.
Bionca is one very hot lady that always gives 100%. Over the years,
   I had ranked Erica Boyer as my favorite and I was tempted to
   rank her ahead of Bionca. Both are hot and it finally came down
   to the fact that Bionca's career has lasted longer and she is
   so much fun to talk to at the conventions.
Nina Hartley is one of the all-time greats and a real fan favorite.
   Have you seen any of her kinky amateur tapes? And, Nina is such a
   good positive spokesperson for the industry.
Debi Diamond is still a fan favorite and we all are wondering where
   she is and when is she going to make a comeback?
I am sorry that I am not a writer because I could write many
   paragraphs on all these ladies.
Hypatia Lee has an absolutely beautiful body that is above
   imagination. How many Nudes-A-Poppins titles did she win?
And don't forget Teri Weigel who is the Playmate who did porn.


1990's

Jenna Jameson is number 1 with AVN and is a huge star. When I first
   saw her in Randy West's Up and Cummers #10, I thought I had died
   and went to heaven. Perfection! She is still hot, but her movie
   performances are varied. She can be hot as hell as she was in
   My Plaything Jenna and luke warm as she was in Briana Loves Jenna.
   And, talk about negatives. You either love her or you flat out don't
   like her. I orginally had Jenna listed at number 3. But, since I am
   revising things, I decided to switch Jenna and Danni. Both are huge
   stars, but Jenna has now also crossed over into the main stream.

Jewel De'Nyle is number two. She started with New Sensations and
   went from this sweet little brunette with a cute smile and a long
   list of things she does not do on video to the mega star she
   is today and the list long gone. She is flat out hot!
Danni Ashe is number 3. Some of you are saying, Den has gone mad!
   Danni Ashe, you got to be kidding. No, I am not. Danni is the
   single most important lady ever! Take a small time stripper from
   Seattle with a cute smile and big boobs and who had an idea to
   explore this new thing called the internet. Give her 3 tries at
   it, until out of complete frustration, she decides to create and
   manage her own website. And you get the mega star Danni.
     * How about the Wall Street Journal with their May 20, 1997
       article on Danni Ashe. It just made the front page and was
       very positive on Danni and her contributions at internet
       commerce. 
     * How about the September 18, 1997 Politically Incorrect
       Show with Danni & Alan King. Alan kept looking at Danni and
       was flabbergasted that he could see her naked on this thing
       called Danni's Hard Drive. It is one of the funniest shows
       ever. And, it proved the point that Danni not only is
       partially responsible for the internet explosion but also
       caused guys to buy complete computer systems just so they
       could see Danni Ashe naked!
     * How about being the lady who holds the record as the
       World's Most Downloaded Woman.
   Danni brings up the whole ramifications of the 'R' marketplace.
     Yes, I like my movies hardcore and I am not a fan of the
     teaser movies. But, this marketplace is huge! It is bigger
     than X. Ask your rental store owner to share facts with you
     and you will find the DreamsGirls and the Buttman at Nudes
     A Poppin type tapes are his best renters. Danni is the queen
     of this marketplace.
Sylvia Saint is perfect. She looks at you and you could care less what
   she is saying and what language she is speaking in. It is love
   at first sight. She retired way too early.
Tricia Devereaux is the girl next door that does what? One of the
   hottest gals of all-time. Man can she get down. Then the terrible
   news about her that actually made me cry. But, the good news is she
   has rebounded well. Evil Angel's DVD guru and Mrs. Buttman!
Some gals made instant claims to fame and then retired too soon.
   But they will never be forgotten. Missy, Tammi Ann, Tianna,
   Vanessa Chase, Francesca Le', Shane, Angela Summers and Nikki Dial
   come to mind.
Some gals are just too nice to be doing this. But we sure do love
   watching Dee getting down.
Some gals have bodies that won't quit and performances that are
   mouth watering. And they keep us wanting more and more of
   Tiffany Mynx.
Some gals have to wait a long long time to be recognized and then
   then win a ton of awards like the multi talented Serenity.
Some gals become underground cult figures after only doing a
   few movies. Fawn Miller did win the 1991 Dirty Bob award,
   Great American Amateur Adult Video Female Star Search Contest.
And lasty, some gals make their claim to fame as a result of their
   notoriety on their website. I picked Wifey for this and it is
   a very good choice, but it could be your particular favorite
   amateur/web site gal. (Maybe Jan B. or Lynn Carroll?).
Some gals were overlooked in the orginal list, but have been added.
   Obsession has never done a tame scene!
   Kylie is one fine hot fiery redhead!

2000's

Aurora Snow has the potential of becoming a top 50 gal of all time.
   She is cute and she sure gets into it.
Tera Patrick was originally listed as Number 1 for 2000's.
   Digital Playground made her a superstar! Tera quit them for
   unknown reasons and never bothered to tell her legion of
   fans on her popular Live Web Cam Show.
