============================================================================ DVD's are rated on 3 components: ............................................................................ 1> The Movie. The movie's sex action gets a rating. 2> The DVD Extra's. The DVD extra's gets a rating. 3> Picture Quality. The DVDs video quality and lighting gets a rating. Old Way: Rating is the total points divided by 2. New Way: DVD Extra's points count as an additional scene. Picture Quality/Lighting counts as an additional scene. ============================================================================ This new ratings method is a result of a posting on Adult DVD Talk. Basically, there was a discussion about my rating the directors which lead into a discussion of the 50/50 split. (I did this primarly because it is easy to divide by 2). I challenged Bill the ADT moderator to come up with a better idea. At this years AEE 2006, Bill and I sat down and discussed this (while watching all the Porn Stars) and damn if Bill didn't come up a better idea. With this new plan, the emphasis is still on the overall rating, but with a weighted averaging that rewards the movie sex action as opposed to the DVD extras. On a personal note, it is nice to be able to have a discussion that is based upon facts and ideas rather than just a complaint. If you have a problem, propose a problem solution. Bill did this and I thank him for it. ============================================================================
