1> AVN
       AVN has taken a pass on this subject. They promised a position on
         this over two years ago. They continue to give Editor's Choices
         to movies with choking in them and some even get trophies!
       Why does AVN promote choking by giving awards for it. And, more
         importantly, why doesn't AVN take a stand against choking?
 2> Agents
       Agents send their gals out to make movies that contain choking
         and female degradation. 
       Why would an agent send it's bread and butter gals out to make
         movies with this dangerous activity?
 3> Critics
       Most reviewers don't even mention when a movie has choking in it.
         How totally irresponsible! 
       Why not tell the truth and deduct points for it.
         Critics need to take a stand on choking. 
 4> Directors
       Directors need to stand up and be counted. It is really worth
         it to include choking in a movie? 
       Why take the risk?  Some directors have 'no choking' policy 
         and they have paid the price for it. They are shunned by AVN
         and by reviewers. They never get any trophies & very few
         nominations.
 5> Stars - Guys
       They are generally the over-the-hill gang that feels it make
         them a man. 
       Why the fantasy of seeing a 40+ years old man choking out an
         18 year old gal? 
 6> Stars - Gals
       They are into anything that will make $ for themselves. Safety
         and sanity is not a part of their vocabulary.
       Why they do it is most likely to assure that they continue
         to get work.
 7> Studios
       Studios will not take a position on choking. They don't
         want to rock the boat. 
       Why do some Studios not allow choking and they take the
         heat for it? 
 8> Lawyers.
       Most lawyers will not discuss this and I am not sure
         why.
       Why do some lawyers take a very vocal position on this
         and flat out will not allow choking?
 9> Fans.
       The fans have spoken with their pocketbooks. They are
         fed up with the choking and female degradation.
       Why are sales down? Some of it has to be the radical
         turn porn has taken.
10> Retail Stores/Distributors.
       Most retail stores don't want movies with choking in
         them. They are afraid of the legal problems.
       Why do some distributors refuse to handle some of
         the controversial releases?
11> XRCO.
       The refuse to take a position against choking and put
         the responsibility on their members.
       Why do they give trophies to movies that have choking
         in them?  


Worst Case Scenario:

     A 40+ year old male is on set with 18 year old
     newbie-of-the-year wanna be.

     He proceeds to do his thing and chokes the gal.
     He slips (or, some kind of problem) and she dies!

     Oops, guess what folks, we now have what the government
     has been wanting for many years, a snuff movie!

     And then what will happen?

       Choker..............Involuntary Manslaughter: 5-7 years!
                           Civil suit: A big judgment for the
                                       deceased gal's parents.
       Director............Accessory to crime: 2-4 years!
                           Civil suit: A big judgment for the
                                       deceased gal's parents.
       Studio..............Possible criminal charges.
                           Civil suit: A big judgment for the
                                       deceased gal's parents.
       Agent...............Accessory to crime. 1-2 years!
                           Civil suit: A big judgment for the
                                       deceased gal's parents.
       Adult Industry......Will be a major scandal with the
                           government getting involved and will
                           be a real mess. Choking DVDs will be
                           pulled and returned to distributors
                           and to Studios. It will be a field
                           day for the religious right. It will
                           not be a knockout to the business, but
                           it will set us back 10 years! All the
                           good positive gradual acceptance into
                           the mainstream will be lost. 

I hope and pray that this never happens to one of our ladies or to
  any of the fans watching a movie and deciding to try this at home.

We don't need to lose anyone. Do we really want to go through this?
  Is it really that important that we include 15 to 30 seconds of
  choking?

Somebody needs to stand up and say No, stop it!

  Dirty Bob?
